Perkasa boss Ibrahim Ali has once again opened his big mouth. He now speaks like he is the Minister of Internal Security, or does he think he is Prime Minister designate? And mind you, Ibrahim Ali is privileged to be seated besides, of all people the Home Minister Hishamuddin himself commenting issues related to internal security and in particular the ISA. Is Hishamuddin acknowledging that Ibrahim Ali is the expert on matters of national security; hence the former need the latter’s expert advice? I think Hishamuddin is wrong to have Ibrahim Ali as his ‘consultant’ for there is many more experience and expert Malaysians on matters of security.
Ibrahim Ali was reported to have said that he wants future detentions without trial to bypass the courts and instead rely on a committee with credible people. He went further to say that national security goes above human rights and freedom of expression. He argued that using the court system (to deal with ISA cases) will take a long time. His statement is in reference to PM Najib’s proposal that the ISA will be repealed and to be replaced by two new laws. Hishamuddin thinks that Ibrahim Ali’s comment is credible, but I say to the former that I seriously beg to defer.
Look here Ibrahim Ali, what you are suggesting mirrors what a communist regime of old would do to scuttle dissenting voices. Communism is long gone where even the two largest communist nations in the world i.e. Russia and China have opened themselves out to the globalised world. I am not denying that both the countries does not have ‘ISA like policies’, but what I am saying is that we a nation that was built on democratic principles should move out from any notion of fear of the country being run over by communist-like elements.
I say to Ibrahim Ali that any form of threat (be they communist inspired, racial or religious threats) cannot survive in this country. So do not get ‘over drive’, excited and paranoid the moment you hear someone say something that sound anti government. And doesn’t Ibrahim Ali know that when the people are deprived of their basic rights, poverty prevalent and abuses rampant, this situation becomes more dangerous that a communist threat? Look at what happened to the North African Muslim states of recent times. The people revolted and threw out their government, and do we not want to learn anything from it?
You and I know that the ISA is a colonial legacy meant to defeat the communist threat then. The British saw the need to legislate such punitive laws because there was real physical threat from the MCP and its sympathizers towards the security and safety of the country. With the end of the first Malayan Emergency and the resurgence of the insurgency, the ISA continued to be enforced, and rightly so. But the situation today is so different after the final surrender of the MCP in 1989. What we have today is merely a friction of the real threat faced by us throughout the Malayan Emergency and the period of the Insurgency. Now, even raising religious and racial issues is considered a threat to national security and this demands the ISA to be applied. Words seem to be more dangerous than weapons itself.
I think Ibrahim Ali’s comment and proposal is dangerous to the safety and security of the country, and if Hishamuddin does heed to the former’s ‘advice’, I would then ask Hishamuddin to resign and have Ibrahim Ali take over the Home Ministry.

IBRAHIM ALI – FIERY SPEECHES BUT HOLLOW IN THOUGHT
What better word can I describe this man named Ibrahim Ali other than say that he is just another ‘war-monger’. Surprisingly, he seems to gets ever ‘popular’ by the day with his nonsensical speeches that threatens racial harmony, peace and security that had been nurtured by our forefathers? Many have said that he should have by now been dumped at ‘Kamunting Resort’ for a brain cleansing treatment, and if this treatment fails, he should then to be referred to Tanjung Rambutan to have his brain removed. I say this because Ibrahim Ali of recent times has been a disgrace to the Malay race. He has made the Malays a much hated race, whereas we the Malays are peace loving people. I now begin to doubt if Ibrahim Ali is a Malay himself.
When I was young, I remembered my late father bringing home friends that are not Malays and seeing him work alongside them and setting aside their racial and religious difference makes me think that they are more than just friends. These were the Malayans that I saw in the early 50’s who were more united then, than it is today. I would further reinforce my statement by saying that Malayans were more united under British rule and by having the likes of Ibrahim Ali, has made Najib’s 1 Malaysia slogan meaningless and a mockery. There was also a similar comment made by former Finance Minister Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah that can be viewed on You Tube, who himself has said that he doubts the success of 1 Malaysia. How could 1 Malaysia has any meaning when some idiot is out to champion his own race and threatens others; whereas this country guarantees equal rights for all its citizenry. And that idiot claims that what all he did has the support of his race; something that I totally disagree.
And in this era of the 21 century where all people of the world are supposedly to have reached the zenith of civilization; Malaysia unfortunately has Ibrahim Ali who acts like he is Hitler; fiery in speech but hollow in thoughts. Despite the many intimidating speeches that he had lashed out against the intended July 9th Bersih rally, the Chinese community, the opposition parties and even Bersih’s principal organizer Ambiga, he seems untouched by the authorities as he continues to howl like a sex-starved and hungry lion. I have heard his speeches on You Tube and its all utter rubbish.
As a Malay, I don’t need Ibrahim Ali to be my spokesman. Neither would I want to acknowledge him as a Malay leader. Compare him to the likes of Dato Onn Jaafar, Tun Dr. Ismail or YM Tengku Abdul Rahman, he is in no league with anyone of them. Even Ahmad Bustaman who is fiery in his speeches is adorable and is definitely more sensible than Ibrahim Ali. The language of threat that he had directed at other races and including the many Malays that are opposed to him, is only uttered when he is surrounded by his henchmen. Point a gun at him, he is sure to run helter-skater under the skirt of a lady Perkasa follower.
For all that Ibrahim Ali has said and done, it is obvious to me that he is under the protective mould of someone powerful. He is untouchable, so it seems. I don’t think he requires a police permit to hold a rally, and I am yet to see him being led away by the police for his scathing speeches of hate and threats. If it was someone else; he/she would have been thrown to ‘Kamunting Resort’ to be left in isolation and be provided free meals at public expense.
Despite all the unkind words that I have for Ibrahim Ali, I somewhat have my deepest sympathy for him. This is because his days in politics are numbered. Come the next GE, and if he takes on the challenge to contest as an Independent candidate and in his present constituency, I doubt very much he could get back his deposit.

MALAYSIA’S GREATEST WAR MONGER
He looks like an idiot, speaks like an idiot, acts like an idiot, has brains of an idiot, and that idiot is non other than the self profess Malay Perkasa hero and keris kissing Ibrahim Ali. He thinks he is living in the age of the dinosaurs where humans are barely attired, and the moment this person opens his mouth, all that comes out is nothing but a language of hatred. Is this the language that Islam, a religion of tolerance and peace wants all people of the faith to preach? I say it is not, and I do not speak for the followers of Perkasa that is claimed to be in the thousands. They can follow their leaders for all I care, but I wish to caution them the dangers their leaders are leading them into.
He now talks about wanting to lead a crusade, and against whom?………..I do not know. Is it against the Malaysian Christians? I now challenge Ibrahim Ali to go ahead with the crusade if he dares. And I know too that he will be the first person to hide under the sarong of his wife when the crusade begins. Please do not forget to take along your keris, and make sure you sharpened it first. Also do rub some limau nipis on the blade and buat jampi sikit. Mana tau, kot kot keris itu boleh terbang. Tak payah susah susah nak tikam orang. Let the keris do the killing for you.
Now even Home Minister Hishamuddin has distance himself from this Ibrahim Ali. Sorry for calling him idiot many times, but what better name can I use to describe him. He does not seem to know that all peace loving Malaysians (with the exception of Perkasa) are just fed-up with him. Besides Hishamuddin, even dethroned former Penang Chief Minister Koh Tsu Koon had asked that he stop being raucous in his language. I have not heard what MCA and MIC has to say about the crusading Ibrahim Ali. Please speak out if both the parties are sincere in wanting to see peace prevail in this country.
This language of crusade is the strongest that has come out of a Malay politician. Is Ibrahim Ali referring to the military expedition launched by Pope Urban 11 (1096-1099) against the Turks to recapture the holy land of Jerusalem? If he was making such a reference, then he is talking about going to war………..and will it be against the Malaysian Christians? And can I ask Ibrahim Ali if he knows how to launch a war? War is a serious matter and if he ever thinks about starting a war against his fellow Malaysians, I suggest he makes a visit to Afghanistan to learn something about fighting a war from the Talibans. I do not think he could last long in Afghanistan, because his has been too comfortable living a luxurious life in the country. He is a softie to think of ever leading a war.
My appeal to the government and in particular to PM Najib is to please silence this Ibrahim Ali, the war monger. Please put some sense in him. Najib knows that Ibrahim Ali does not represent all Malays, and I know a majority of Malays (particularly urban Malays) does not think much of him. His language may appeal to the kampung Malays because that’s what we have made the kampung Malays to be i.e. naïve and out of touch with the realities of the modern world today. And by allowing Ibrahim Ali to continue speaking, I think this can adversely affect the Malay urban support for UMNO. Certainly, this is not what UMNO wants in view of the impending GE.
Rather than think of going to war with a fellow Malaysian Christian, I would like to invite Ibrahim Ali to join me in my crusade against corruption. This will help me get rid of the Malays who are deeply mired in corruption, to save them from bringing shame to the Malay race and our revered religion of Islam.

IBRAHIM ALI – WHAT’S UP?
I simply cannot understand what is in the mind of PERKASA boss Ibrahim Ali. He seems to be making lots of statement in defence of the Malays and including the sovereignty of Malay rulers. I do not mind if the Malays that he is referring to are Malaysians, but now he has gone overboard by trying to be the champion for Singapore Malays. He says that the Malays in Singapore are marginalized, oppressed and are too cowed to speak out.
My question to Ibrahim Ali is this……..who is he to be the champion of the Singapore Malays? No doubt they are Malays but they are Singapore Malays and not Malaysian Malays. The differentiation is obvious because Singaporeans are not Malaysians, and conversely Malaysians are not Singaporeans. And doesn’t he know that there are also Malays in South Africa, Australia and on some of the islands in the South Pacific? And does he not want to be their champion as well? If this is not understood by Ibrahim Ali, I suggest he just have to shut-up. And if he still wants to be a Singapore Malay champion, he had better go down to Singapore and hold a public rally; something that he is most capable of doing. Whatever he says here is not loud enough to be heard by the Malays in Singapore or anywhere else.
Clearly, I am against interfering with the affairs of people, and more so people of another country. I have many Malay friends in Singapore holding reasonable jobs and am rich enough to take them and their families on holidays to Malaysia. They do not talk about Singaporeans of other races, not because they are cowed to speak out as Ibrahim Ali has said, but because they are happy to be citizens of Singapore. If you walk around the country, you will not find a single beggar anywhere. Definitely, you do not see beggars from Myanmar, India or any other foreign beggars. You don’t even see homeless people sleeping under bridges or along the back lanes, but you see them all in Malaysia. Of course, you may get to see gays and prostitutes loitering around the streets at night.
Now Ibrahim Ali, let me get straight with you. There are many things that are wrong with us. Don’t you know that the Malays here are more disunited now than before? Have you not indentified the reasons for this disunity? Don’t you know that some of the Malays here are also being marginalized, oppressed and are cowed from speaking out? Just try to say something that is not to the liking of the authorities, and you know what you will get………ISA. I am not saying that there is absolutely no freedom of speech in this country, but the authorities seems to be very selective in deciding who should be taken in, and who not to. But in the case of Ibrahim Ali he seems to have some form of immunity. Wonder who is behind him?
My advice to Ibrahim Ali is to stop criticizing people of another country. Rather, you should start criticizing the much malice that you see happening in this country. You can start by holding a public rally to expose such malice, or talk about narrowing the Malay divide that has no end. Try also to bring all Malaysians together and stop being parochial.
We certainly need people like Ibrahim Ali for the right purpose, but not for what he is today.

IBRAHIM ALI – PLEASE GIVE 1 MALAYSIA A CHANCE
“I don’t need to apologies to anybody. Even if the guy puts a gun to my head, I would not do so” say Ibrahim Ali, the Malay hero. Would you want me to believe in what he had said? Well, I hope somebody does put gun to his head and I bet you he will plea for mercy. No right minded and sane person wouldn’t panic at being pointed a gun. Only an insane person does react to fear, and if we are to believe in what Ibrahim Ali has said, then I say he is clearly insane.
What has angered this Malay hero? Was it over the failed attempt by some Malay NGOs to gather in Trengganu to commemorate May 13? Why throw tantrums at others? Wasn’t it not PM Najib who disallowed the gathering to be held, and if it was so, then throw your anger at PM Najib. Would Ibrahim Ali dare to do this? I don’t think so because he has all to loose, and his political career will be in jeopardy. After all, he only has another 2 more years in parliament and after that time, he will be left in a limbo. UMNO wouldn’t lift a finger to lend support for him in the next GE, and he knows that. Hence, he has to make a name for himself now as a Malay hero (without troops) in the hope of securing Malay rural support in the next GE.
Ibrahim Ali, don’t you be so confident that just because you were able to successfully gather the Malays for the PERKASA gathering a few ago months ago, you think you can be voted again in the next GE? It wasn’t you that drew the Malay crowd. It was the presence of Tun Dr. Mahathir. Take away Tun Dr. Mahathir, and you will be left alone howling at an empty PWTC hall.
What you are doing now does not auger well for this country. You must recognize that ours is a multi-racial country, and we have lived together respectfully as a nation for many years. To say that the Malays have dominated the country’s political, economic and social life is totally incorrect. The other two races have made significant contributions too and we ought to be thankful for that. We will not be what we are today without them. We have no choice but to live together for the good of our children and our generation to come, as this is the only country and home that they know. The Malays will gain respect if we respect others, and this was what I saw during my formative years. Maybe, you have not lived side by side with other races; hence your parochial outlook.
PM Najib, I think is trying to put right the racial divisions that are prevalent in our society today, with the 1 Malaysia slogans. I personally think he is doing the right thing, but Ibrahim Ali’s actions are a diversion to PM Najib’s aspirations. So Ibrahim Ali, please give 1 Malaysia a chance.
