UMNO – PLEASE SEARCH YOUR SOUL

So, Utusan Malaysia (UM) got away with a warning. It was a written warning I was told. If it was a verbal warning from Home Minister Hishamuddin, I guess he would have said something like this……….”awak jangan buat begini sekali lagi ya. Orang dah marah sama UMNO. Takut kita akan kalah pilihan raya nanti. Kalau kita kalah, kawan dan termasuk awak akan kehilangan kerja”. And may I ask Hishamuddin this question………….”why don’t you show the keris to UM. That might frighten them from reporting further rubbish”.

Well, most have expected the outcome, and let’s see what else will the daily report to stir further ‘shit’. Then, what about the blogger who persistently claimed that the report was true? Wasn’t he called to be warned? What if the report was initiated by a pro-opposition daily or an anti UMNO blogger? What would you think the punishment would be? My guess is that the daily will cease to be circulation and the blogger detained under the ISA (Ikut Suka Aja). And what about the police reports launched by various parties against UM? NFA them I suppose.

Coincidently, UM Editor-in-Chief Datuk Aziz Ishak is a person I know. He wrote an article about the Malaysian Army contingent serving Cambodia during UNTAC, when I was there. I met him at the Cambodian-Thailand border during the repatriation of Cambodian refugees back into Cambodia. That was back in 1992. He even wrote a feature article about me prior to my retirement in 1998, I must thank him for that. Just wonder what kind of dressing he got from Hishamuddin. Well, this is the price one pays for being the Editor-in-Chief.

The warning is a sort of anti climax to the entire fiasco created by UM. It must have troubled PM Najib, but I suppose this did not make him lose sleep. There were much larger problems like how to get Anuar Ibrahim off his mind, but I believe thinking about Anuar Ibrahim does not make him lose sleep.

Now, Puteri UMNO has got into a fray with Anuar Ibrahim’s wife Wan Azizah over her husbands’ alleged sexual escapade with a China doll. Seriously speaking, what wrong has Azizah done to be criticized by Puteri UMNO? Is it wrong for Azizah to be firmly besides her husband during difficult times like this? I think that is the most obvious thing to do. Are the Puteris expecting Azizah to divorce Anuar or what? What a silly expectation.

Now, may I ask Puteri UMNO these simple questions? Are you to believe that none of your male colleagues in UMNO has not had any sexual relationship with someone other than their wives? Are you to believe that non among you has not had a relationship with someone that is not your husband? Don’t tell me that all of you are ‘malaikat’. Now, just take a look to see the characters around you. First that Thamby fella who was said to have molested an underage girl and now turned sex video peddler. Next is the Raba Raba minister who is now His Excellency the ambassador? Why don’t you ask their wives to divorce their husbands? Mind you, a rapist gets to be a Tan Sri and a raba raba minister gets to be an ambassador? There must be something seriously wrong with this.

I think a lot is wrong with UMNO today. They seem to do things that eventually turn against them. It was never like this 30 years ago. My call to UMNO leaders is to do a deep soul searching of every single one of them. Ask this simple question…………….. ‘What have I done to myself and to my community? It has been 50 odd years, and yet I am not able to solve the many woes of my community. Is this Allah’s way of punishing us for the many wrongs that some of our leaders have done?’ I believe it is, and what is your say to this?

CRUSADE AGAINST CORRUPTION

We are simply doing - an eye for an eye- and making ourselves blind whilst the whole world is moving forward. Now, who is responsible for that ?

Dato'. my take is to tell off the Puteri blondy UMNO to f@#K off.
They are only fit to be partner for the senior UMNO leaders who like to sing at some places in Kuala Lumpur especially during their political party get together.
Disgusting! Puteri -hypocrite! Those married Puteri better take care of their husband before another Puteri that lurking around...ready to "sapu"-siapa sapu siapa only GOD knows!...... unbelievable type of people in UMNO and most of them "belajar" from their senior mentors!
What rubbish getting into the Malays!

Pak Chad sir, I was hoping that the name of the editor in C do not cropped up in your posting. The point is I know this guy too and I was not able to reach him on his h/p to seek clarification on the issue. I am surprised because as senior editor back in 2004/5 he seemed to be professional in his chosen vocation in journalism. During 1 semester as my student, there are two things that I impressed upon him then. First is on reporting of news where I mentioned about “the Islamic Concept of News” a paper written by Sayeed al Seini that was published in The American Journal of Islamic Social Sciences. Second is the obvious aspect of “giving attention to details” which to me is very important in reporting (I am sure Dato you’ve come across for example military rank are wrongly attribute to) With this latest debacle I made a few call to his h/p hoping to find out if he is doing it under duress or being orchestrated by someone. Whether he’ll come clean in his response is secondary and am I ashamed he was once a student of mine- well that is moot to me.

Should minority be worried about another May 13th? What should the minority do to save their own life? Is it true that this country doesn’t tolerate minority though we’ve been calling Malaysia as home for 70 years or more? Does most of the Malay belief the cooked up story about minority threatening the Malay power? I fear the only choice for me is to migrate and leave my homeland.

Ever since I was born, I learned that minority is not welcome in Malaysia. Our loyalty has always being questioned by politician. Why does certain people always question about the minority loyalty? If we don’t love this country we wouldn’t have call Malaysia our home. We provide community service to all races with our own money. Doesn’t the politician know that minority fought along the Malay against the communist? We all fought against the communist and Indonesian.

Because we love this country so much, we voted against MCA, GERAKAN, and SUPP. We know all these political party are destroying our beloved country. Is it wrong not to vote MCA or SUPP? Is voting against corruption and racism are wrong? Didn’t the Malay know about PKFZ, gangster influence, illegal logging, etc.

I fear majority of the Malay believe Ibrahim Ali story.

Minorities have done well here.It is the Malays that should worry about their future if they allow themselves to be misled by politicians with questionable agenda.Politicians such as Ibrahim Alis is just trying to jerk the Malays from their deep slumber.

Continue:

Although a minority, the Chinese is politically united under the DAP.

It is clear that the Chinese have abandoned the MCA and SUPP, and therefore they can no longer be relied to bring the Chinese votes for BN in the next GE.

The challenge for the Malays is to rally under a single party that can protect their economic and social future.

Since the DAP's political objective is to create a Malaysian Malaysia therefore it is fair to say that there will be no special economic and social policies for the Malays. Under DAP the Malays will be left behind because they will not be able to compete on even playing field.

To survive, the Malays must be united.UMNO must launch the 1 Bumi campaign to bring the PKR Malays and NGOs Malays back to the fold.UMNO leaders at all levels must reform and work hard to win the confidence of the Malays and to continue to look after the minorities under the proven BN concept.

Dear All,

I am encouraged by the many positive responses received. I am now more convinced than before that something isn't right with this ruling government. As I have said, I have gone through the good years of the 50' thru 70's. We were truly Malayans/Malaysians and we all speak the language of unity. And, toda with this damn Perkasa, they now talk of a Crusade. What hell is this.......

Dato',
I'm with you. Let us bury this UMNO Baru and rebuild our nation again together. We the Malays can be without UMNO Baru, but UMNO can never be without the Malays.
We can have other brand name of ours even though we are not in politics. Together with the others we can rebuild and we are confident!!!
