MELAKAN UMNO SHOULD MAKE NOISE TOO

"Anwar just making a lot of noise", says Malacca Chief Minister, Mohd Ali Rustam as was reported in Star online, 20th July, 2008.

I believe, Mohd Ali suffers from 'short memory syndrome' or SMS in short. Has he forgotten that it was the same noise that had brought down the BN government in three west coast states and almost wiped out BN control of the Federal Territory? And I can bet you my bottom dollar, that if there be a general election in Malacca today, Mohd Ali might as well drown himself in the Malacca Straits, rather than face the wrath of his bosses in Putrajaya.

While Anwar keeps making a lot of noise, and continuously draws huge crowds at all gatherings, UMNO appears still in a daze and unsettled, with lots of dissenting voices being heard outside the halls of the PWTC building.

Isn't the decision by Pak Lah to hand over the UMNO leadership to Najib in 2010, the result of these dissenting voices? Have you not heard the dissenting voices of some top notch UMNO politician stating their disagreement that the hand over date is far too long? And it is only you the 'Melakan UMNO', who wants the post of the President and Deputy President to remain unchallenged; for god knows why.

Mohd Ali, you know full well that your position as the CM come the next general election is precarious, so why not join Anwar in making a lot of noise too?

Jangan dengki the billboards belong to Lt (R) Rosli Jaamat TLDM, this is his core business (Warisan AD) after he retired from the Navy.........other business tak boleh gigit bah...........

Dear Walimuar,

Please do not get me wrong.Just my professional view on how the facade of the Ministry of Defence and military camps should be organized to reflect the military values. Our military value of order and tidiness should not be compromised.Nothing personal against Lt (R) Rosli Jamaat TLDM.

Dear Maurice,

What I wrote was based on the true facts , it is not easy to survive outside when one leaves the Armed Forces.

Dear walimuar,

I agree with your comments.

I had the misfortune of being turned away, after a long wait at his office (despite earlier appointment already being made to see him), by one ex-senior Minister of BN.This senior ex minister obviously had no time for our ex-servicemen.He deserved to be booted out by his constituency in the last election.

But I have not given up, I want to prove to myself that it is still possible to do business with the Government.

Notwithstanding that, I think you will agree with me, if we accept compromises in our military values, it will lead to problems which eventually be beyond our control. This is the fear.

Dear Maurice,

I feel sad to hear your experiences with the minister, it fit the Malay proverb " habis manis sepah (sampah)dibuang". Because of this reason I seldom set my foot to Mindef, eventhough this is the place where I serve for 18years. Many complain of their bitter experiences in Mindef to me.Take it as a challenge because there are other Ministeries that we can cari makan. After all I am a PAS men now and proud to be one.
