BAGAN PINANG AND PROMOTION IN THE ARMY

I had an interesting discourse with a number of friends who were my colleagues in the military; some retired and a few others still in the service. I had just wanted to hear from them their views regarding the political landscape surrounding the by-elections in Bagan Pinang where all parties says that the postal votes will be crucial in determining which party wins or loses.

Besides the by-elections, I also wanted to confirm the much talked about Army leadership changes that is expected to occur soon upon the retirement of the incumbent Army Chief.

What I have heard wasn't too pleasing to my ears because the leadership changes subsequent to the retirement of the Army Chief is said to be mired in controversy, i.e. one that is not based on merit, seniority, competency, etc etc; but is based on the factor of 'I know him better than others'. In other words, there is a scheming plan to promote certain preferred individuals who will supposedly will act as their business proxies when the incumbent leader retires from the service. This to me is incredulous, but the murmurs are obvious around the corridors of the Department of Army, as well as outside the military circles. What is unbelievable is that such murmurs are openly being debated among junior officers who now thinks that cronies now lurks even in this honourable profession.

When discussing the by-elections in Bagan Pinang, someone showed me an invitation card for the Anniversary Celebration of the 2nd Armoured Regiment at Sungala Camp, Port Dickson held on October 5th 2009. The invitees includes top army commanders and some notable UMNO politicians who have all decided to make their way to Port Dickson for the function.

I tried to reason out why was there a need for such 'luminaries' to attend just a simple regimental function, where the main host ought rightly be the Commanding Officer (CO) himself. If at all the CO wants to extend an invitation to someone of a higher rank, it could have been just the Brigade Commander. But in this instant, there were too 'many stars' from Kuala Lumpur, and some ministers who were guests to the function that was organised too close to a by-election. Now, this smells fishy!

I do not know if this was sheer coincidence, but my intuition tells me that it wasn't. It certainly has the by-election as the primary reason, and please prove me wrong for such reasoning. If my intuition is right, then I only have to blame the star studded army officers for their utter ignorance and failure not to understand and recognised the sensitivities of having too many ministers attending a simple regimental function that is organised a few days prior to a by-election, and is held in the constituency of Bagan Pinang. Or are the star studded army officers dancing to the tune of the honourable UMNO ministers? And please forgive me if I and many others perceive the aforesaid to be true.

Now, with regards to the proposed change of the army leadership, I am told that the plan had began back in 2005. Some of the preferred officers were promoted in double quick time, ahead of those who already have the seniority. But for some unknown reason, these officers who already have an edge in seniority are being left in a lurch, and are bewildered as to why have they have been by-passed in the promotion exercise. This is indeed an unhealthy trend that has also created groups within the army heirachy, i.e. one that is favoured and forms the inner circle by the leadership, and the others being left on the periphery. It is believed that the factor of clan is also a criteria to determine who forms the grouping. This is simply outrageous.

As I was writing this posting, I received a call from Port Dickson to confirm that the people who attend the recent function where PM Najib had announce the renaming of Port Dickson as the Army Town had received an envelope containing cash worth RM300. How fortunate are these people to be receiving such largesse from our generous PM, and if only I knew, I wouldn't mind lining up among the mass to receive the cash that is more than sufficient to pay off my petrol expenses.

Just imagine, if there were just 500 people attending, what would be the total payout, and if it were 1000 people, just times that by two. What generosity?

salam dato,

thanks for highlighting two importang issues here - corruption in the army and vote bying for postal voters. first, dont blame the army. the generals are only following the footsteps fo those in the corridors of power. mindef, being where contracts of high value are, have been headed by hooligan politician, you know who. the generals only learn from him, and they learn very fast. with the scheming taking place in the army reshuffle, it is a duplicate of the practice of those in the corridors of power, with the obvious reason to ensure continuity of the evil practices that they have succumb to.

umno show no shame in whatever they do as long as they remain in power hence, "the means justifies the ends" is the order of the day. in manek urai military personnel were deployed to dish out "envelops" to the voters. and here the politicians were "invited" to attend a unit's birthday dinner. the co could not be the person giving the green lite to invite those pig-skinned politicians unless approved by no other than the army chief, who is possibly trying his last move for an extension! bloody bump, my squad maa!!!

corruption is breeding in every departments/ministries especially to ensure "you scratch my back, i scratch your back" policy.

so dato, let's go all out to save our beloved country. for a start, let's make bagan pinang our aor.

crusade against corruption

Dato' Arshad,
It looks like we have fallen prey to the cancerous disease that afflicted our neighbouring Armed Forces during the regimes of totalitarian dictators.
But we have upped the ante by espousing democracy as the path to a choice governance. If democracy means a dictatorship of the minority crooked leaders in every sphere of life of this Nation, we are indeed digging our own graves. I never could have imagined our leaders in the Armed Forces could have stooped so low in order to share the ill-gotten gains. None of them seemed to think of what hellfire is waiting for them in hereafter. Maybe they think all their sins would be forgiven just by invoking " Taubat Nasuha" when they take their last breath.

Dear Dato' Pak Chad, those days UMNO agents carry cash in brief cases and James bind bags, they hand over to Ketua Kampong and pass it on to all the voters, mostly in SABAH & SARAWAK!

NOW THEY CARRY HUGE GOLF BAGS! BLOODY FULL OF CASH AND HAND OVER TO THE RAKYAT WHICH NEEDS IT!

TIMES HAVE CHANGE AND TECHNOLOGY WILL CHANGE BUT THE BAGS HAS NOT..

MAYBE NEXT TURN around JUST AN ACCOUNT NUMBER WILL DO....
ATM - Anak Tipu Mak !

As for the next PTD so many rumors have been flying around - many says that ZZ will be like Ghafir...by-passed...not by IJN mind you, but by the small Warlords of the Thirteenth floor!

Now 13th floor is like 4th floor boys of Putrajaya...they scheme and plan things for their own future...

THE ARMY IS DOOMED AND IF EVER WE ARE REQUIRED TO DEFEND THIS COUNTRY GOD BLESS US ALL!

So sorry folks for the typo...not James Bind Bags!...should read JAMES BOND BAGS!

ANOTHER INTERESTING STORY OF WHO IS TO BECOME THE NEW PTD AND MAYBE PTD HIMSELF WANTS AN EXTENSION!

HE IS APPLE POLISHING - DATO' PAK CHAD HATE & DESPISE THIS TYPE OF SCUMBAGS...

GIVING UNLAWFUL COMMAND AND ORDERS TO GROUND TROOPS TO SERVED COFFEE AND TEA TO ALL UMNO IDIOTS/ZEALOTS!

ONLY VERY SENIOR GENERALS CAN GIVE THIS TYPE OF ORDERS, NO NEED TO GUESS WHO THEY ARE..THE WORLD KNOWS! NO SECRET....

THE YOUNGEST DMI IN THE WORLD - PLEASE DON'T SAY ANYTHING JUST SHUT UP!

LT COL's ARE JUST "MAT-CAI" IN THIS GAMES....SHOE SHINE BOYS!

CURRENT TREND - SONS AND DAUGHTERS MUST MAKE MONEY ON BEHALF OF FATHERS, JUST LIKE LING LION SICK AND SAMY DE' VALUED..THE POLITICIANS ARE GURUS AND THE STUPID GENERALS ARE STUDENTS JUST LIKE IN PULADA/LATEDA/STAFF COLLEGE AND EVEN DEFENCE COLLEGE EVERYONE LOOKING FOR THE "PINK"

THEY ARE THE REAL PINK PANTHERS!

WHEN WAR BREAKS THIS FARKERS WILL ALSO GO LOOK FOR A "PINK"..

GOOD LUCK TO THE ATM - ESPECIALLY THE FARKING GREEN MONKIES...FIT TO BE IN THE ZOO AND IN THE JUNGLES!

Salam Dato,

What the present BN/UNMO leaders did is a very dangerous precedence.

Corrupting the honorable millitary institution. Someday, there'll be enough army in all ranks who crazed for power to take over the country and rule with military order. By then, it will be too late and even those in UNMO will cry foul. It will take very long time to recover from it just like Indonesia and Thailand.

Unwritten history has shown it's possible. TDM has allow corruption through privatisation and abuse of other institutions to stay in power. The same continues though there's been two PM after TDM.

I hope and pray the day never come or we'll just be like Myanmar.

Amin.

It will be very painful to name names I have named, for I am going to do it again here, to say out for the last time, before I fark- off from this blog for good, that the 'mother of all the current blunders in the Army' is a father of somebody, and that father is none other than the all ambitious Mael Polin!

Before I bid "Auf Weidersehen" to all of you guys, I must say my parting words that this army has been torn to pieces by two very distinguished generals, whose photos were posted side by side in a blog called Wira Damai run by a brave ex-Corporal, which was silenced and now defunct by the action of the Dark Force of the army.

But this blog run by a brave ex-General, no one dare to touch, is a blessing to us crusaders, I hope our Dato' Arshad will continue on with his crusade as long as necessary for we can feel that his crusade is building momentum and Dato' Arshad has carved a name to direct traffics to this, his blogsite.

Now, what Dato' Arshad said "with regards to the proposed change of the army leadership, I am told that the plan had began back in 2005", it is of substance for that was the time when Mael Polin was TPTD and Aziz Zainal was PTD, and we all have learnt that Mael Polin had made himself the real powerful man more powerful than the then PTD. But both of them were sinful generals, so sinful that Wira Damai Blog dared paint them as the corrupted two army top guns, and Wira Damai had to pay the price for being so brave in the open.

I need not say anymore for I have said it much earlier in this blog, whether you have read and forgotten, it doesn't matter anymore to me, but the point is that I was so brave to name names the like of the ambitious Mael Polin, the "illustrous" Raja Affendy and the "dubious" Masrani, because they are all the material witness to my experience since 2006, then and now and in near future. Of course there are many more of his cronies officers but that I leave to others to make a brave move to expose them like I did. I am not boasting what I did to them, for if I am, I can never get this far to bravely name their names in blog against their retaliation. I merely inspire you all to be brave for the best weapon against corrupt generals is by using the weapon of truth. I better stop short here for I do not wish to debate the same point over and over again.

Mael Polin's plan to install Raja Affendy as TPTD in place of ZZ is no secret. But his plan was botched, for now, but not for next time and next time until he retires, knowing well Mael Polin is the meanest devil of all them generals. This Bagan Pinang is being used by Mael Polin as his bargaining chips and he will not let anything slips through his bloody and dirty fingers to stoop that low to make bargain for Raja Affendy in another round of Majlis Angkatan Tentera. He would have certainly traded something with the politicians for a return favour when the time is right.

That Kelantanese chap ZZ's days as TPTD are numbered for by now he is counting his sleepless nights when will he be robbed off his chance of the PTD post, this December?.

I offer no excuse in parting company with you all gentlemen, it is just that I feel old and I got bored very fast. I am glad there are more energetic bloggers joining force with this crusade and I am sure our Pak HH can enchant more able crusaders from elsewhere to join the fray here in Pak Chad's blog.

I have made a wish, one final wish, a "Nazar", that should I win my case, the first thing I would do is to perform Haj with my dear friend, one ex-army officer named Basri PGB and be his "makmum" like I had been when we were in the army. With that Nazar, I will fight to the end for my case, Insya Allah.

I thank you all and I love to be with all the courageous bloggers of Mind No Evil, it is an honour, more than just an honour to be in this League of The Gentlemen of the Crusade Against Corruption.

When TDM embark on ICT to propel the country into the new knowledge economy, I bet he doesn't expect the exposure going to be massive as shown in this blog.

Otherwise, it's just gonna be a "kedai kopi" talk where the damage is just a mosquito bite.

Now we are seeing the patriots not just defending the sovereignty during service but also the people in retirement years.

Thank you dato and the true patriots. May we see a better Malaysia.

Dear Dato',

We "the ex-serviceman" always upheld our "professional ethics" even thought we have leave the services long ago.

For us (ex-serviceman), we know the difference between right and wrong. I do think our juniors never upheld the integrity as what we always do.

Hope that money will not cloud our serviceman judgement.

Dear Dato',

If what you have heard and almost the same story about the Army leadership succession scheme that comes to my ears is true, I feel most disgusted and so sorry for the Army and this country.

This is what corruption is all about. The greed for money drives human beings to become so obsessed to doing things against all logics.

The organisations, good, credible and professional surbordinates turn victims to corrupted leaders
and in the case of the Army, it would appear the future Army Chief would NEVER be the BEST and most eligable person for the job if this
dirty succesion scheme were allowed to succeed.

In the first place, why is the present 3-star general posted to be TPTD? I spoke to certain members
of MAT who are convinced that he was then the BEST candidate to succeed the present Army Chief.
Are the Minister of Defence and other MAT members making MAT decision in favour of the Army Chief's succession scheme of deploying his business crony to replace him if the incumbant is the BEST guy!

The Rakyats would respect YB Dato Seri Zahid Hamidi and MAT more for Army Chief to be fired if he is deemed corrupted while in uniform and getting involved in such a dirty succession scheme to serve personal interest!

I plead to Minister of Defence and MAT Members to use all the wisdom and logics in selecting the leadership in the military. Cases had happened before when the best candidate for the job were thrown out because certain outgoing chief and his business cronies deployed all possible dirty tactics to convince political leadership to decide against all odds and logics.

God save the Army.

MUCH MORE EARLIER THEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO!
