SHAME ON YOU - JAMIL KHIR AND CHE MAT

What can I say of this two people; Minister in PM’s Department in Charge of Islamic Affairs Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom and Director Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council Datu Che Mat Che Ali who was alleged to have misappropriated zakat fund amounting to RM63,650 to settle their personal legal fee, being respondents in Anwar Ibrahim’s qazaf application. The alleged abuse of zakat fund by the two was recorded in the Auditor General report for 2010.

Any Muslim would know that to abuse the zakat fund (even for taking a single sen), more so for a personal reason is a sin, and they being people learned in religion should know the consequences. Do they not know that they will have to answer their sins to Allah SWT in the hereafter? Or are they thinking that being a government paid religious official, they will be accorded a special preference in hell? I think it would have been less grievous a sin if they had borrowed money from someone to settle their legal fee. Are the two not rich enough to pay up? I think that amount is a paltry sum for Jamil Khir in particular who is said to have built himself a palatial home.

I think right minded citizens of this country ought to be thankful to former KL CID Chief Datuk Mat Zain Hamzah for highlighting this abuse and for being persistent in criticizing and commenting all that is wrong about this country, particularly with regards to the abuse of power by the powers that be, corruption and the misappropriation of justice. What baffles me is that despite the many critical comments that Datuk Mat Zain had written and published, not one single person within the government dare to act against him. Not the AG, not the IGP and not a single Minister. I would ask – why is this so? And the only logical answer that I can think of is that what all has been revealed by Datuk Mat Zain is true and cannot be challenged. Indeed, Datuk Mat Zain is a lone crusader for good against evil.

Being a colleague of Jamil Khir while I was in the military service, I am ashamed at what he did, if the allegation is proven to be true. I simply cannot accept a person like him with strong religious credentials and a ‘pendakwah’ to have done the unthinkable; an act that is sacrileges. He not only shamed the Armed Forces from where he was trained and served, but more importantly to desecrate the office that he now holds i.e. Minister in the PM Department in charge of Islamic religious affairs.

I do not know whether the PM or anyone within the government will act against the two for abuse and misappropriation of zakat fund. Or will they be given a tap on the back and be let off with a warning? I do not think the two will be ask to vacate their position or for them to voluntarily discharge themselves from their post – that’s the last think that could happen and there are several examples to cite; unlike the Japanese and Korean people where shame is unacceptable to them. To such people, it is more honourable to take their own life than to face shame. And having paid back the money does not absolve them of their sin.

Finally a food for thought from Sheikh Imran Hosein when he wrote, quote “There is a peculiar definition about ‘ulamak’ that all must know: Establishment Ulamak equals Islamic scholars that the government provides them with comfortable living in the secularized Muslim world”, unquote.

Do you not think that the quotation fits the two ‘ulamak’ that I have mentioned above?

These two blokes mentioned has no shame and dignity. Not only they brought shame to UMNO and Govt but more so to family members and friends. What a grave sin to 'steal' from the zakat funds and they call themselves pious muslims. To them no offence committed. Just like robbing a bank to repay their debts and later return the money to the bank without a word of thanks. Also no offence committed? Can any lawyer or PDRM tell me whether this can be accepted, please??

Dato',

These people you mentioned do not know what is shame, honour, integrity and credibility. They lost these basic human virtues when they joined UMNO or aligned themselves to UMNO. They answer to no one which explains their arrogance and conceit. And they have an equally arrogant, shameless and conceited prime minister as their leader to protect them. Just like the infamous and shameless lady minister being protected from the NFC scandal.

These UMNO people have their own God and their own version of Islam which allows and encourages them to steal, pillage, rob and commit all forms of criminal acts to their liking. They don't believe in the hereafter hence why should they worry after they leave this world. They perform the official haj at least once a year so they think they are cleansed of their sins and they can start afresh on a clean slate with their corrupt and thieving ways again.

The sad thing is that the so called Islamic ulamaks in JAKIM, JAIS, MAIS are the ones who are collaborating with these shameless UMNO elites.

1) walaupun pernah berkhidmat didlm atm (angkatan tentera malaysia la, bukan mesin keluar & masok duit kat bank tu), dia bukanlah 'soldier'. kerja dia tu cuma baca doa la, imam solat la, ceramah ugama la yg tak sangkut paut dgn 'warfare'. org cam ni pun pakai 2 bintang ka? inilah salah satu 'kelamkabut' yg dibuat oleh pm ke4 dimana dia telah 'mencabut siong' armed forces yg sekarang kena kowtow kat pm. (he pre-empted the possibility of coup d'etat). yang "royal" hanya tinggal nama saja, dah jadi sejarah. ingat dak, beberapa bulan sudah chief of armed forces mengeluarkan kenyataan politik yg berpihak kpd kerajaan pemerintah lebih kurang 'no such thing' tentang penyelewengan undi pos anggota tentera?. 2) dua ekoq ni dan ada banyak lagi memang 'ulamak' (akronim), nama penuh ialah 'ulaq dlm semak', wassalam

Dato, there is nothing we can say, tell or preach to these thieving creatures that can make them change for the better. After all birds of the same feathers always flock together. These practices of corruption and CBT are totally out of control.

Only a change of regime might cure this epedemic, but for how long until it comes full circle again. Then when it completes its full circle, then the people will look for another alternative. But change Malaysians definitely must have this coming GE.

This out of control mass corruption starts from the very top at the PM's department and ends at the lowest level. The lowest level is the office peon and janitor. Our region's once highly respected public institutions are not spared,so are the religious departments.

It is no surprise that these two people Jamil Khir Baharom and Che Mat Che Ali from the religious authority were alledged for misappropriating religious funds. After all Jais and their other religious affiliates have been used for political pursoses.Even the secretaries of the PM and his DPM are not spared, being recently outed by whistleblower 711.

So what can the Umno/BN GOM do about this cancer, since the GE is just around the corner.Nothing,nada,zero.Why?Because they are all hands, gloves toes, socks and shoes together in this mess.Is the PM Najib and his deputy Mr Moo really cohorts with the crooks?Just a peek at their local and foreign bank accounts will tell and speak a million words.

Into the hands of every individual is given a marvelous power for good or evil-the silent, unconscious, unseen influence of his life. This is simply the constant radiation of what man really is, not what he pretends to be. The relationship of morality and power is a very subtle one. Ultimately power without morality is no longer power... Well, these two men - u are given the position and along with it the power to actually help and serve people, not to advance your own purposes not to make a great show in the world, nor a name. Anyway, perhaps, and it seems, both got carried away by power. A disgrace to the Malays and Muslims.

p/s Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if we want to test a man's character, give him power.
These men-they've been tried.gradro

Solja Boy,

On allegation of Jamil Khir:
http://www.bernama.com/bernama/v5/newsgeneral.php?id=636932

but,
even in the Military there is a court martial, agree?

A court-martial (plural courts-martial, as "martial" is postpositive) is a military court. A court-martial is empowered to determine the guilt of members of the armed forces subject to military law, and, if the defendant is found guilty, to decide upon punishment...

What say we call in the Al-Qaedah, Solja Boy? Do you think you deserve the one star, Solja boy?

Such shameless Bards we have; and yet 'tis true,
There are as mad, abandon'd Criticks too.
The Bookful Blockhead, ignorantly read,
With Loads of Learned Lumber in his Head,
With his own Tongue still edifies his Ears,
And always List'ning to Himself appears.
All Books he reads, and all he reads assails,
From Dryden's Fables down to Durfey's Tales.
With him, most Authors steal their Works, or buy;
Garth did not write his own Dispensary.
Name a new Play, and he's the Poet's Friend,
Nay show'd his Faults - but when wou'd Poets mend?
No Place so Sacred from such Fops is barr'd,
Nor is Paul's Church more safe than Paul's Church-yard:
Nay, fly to Altars; there they'll talk you dead;
For Fools rush in where Angels fear to tread.

SO-A-LA-IH,
Do you think pekan boy and his brigands won't love another MAGERAN?

Think!

Do you think there is a better way than BN short of 2/3 majority coming out from PRU13?

Think!

Is there ever a tale of blackmail in high places in Malaysia?

Have you really thought thinks out, solja boy?

Soalan Datuk,

Whilst the Summons were on their names, it it not both Dato Khair and the other person were summoned - for their work? If it is so, then is it not rightly they get the Agency they were working for pay for the legal fees?

Or the issue was why Zakat's fund was tap, not the normal jabatan's fund?

Thanks

Sharizat's NFC fiasco is still steaming hot and now we have Jamil Khir and misappropriation of Zakat funds!
For any Muslim to have misappopriated even one cent of zakat fund just for one minute is enough to lose all respect from Muslims. I know Jamil Khir very well and I am sorry to have lost a friend and the respect for him!
I am sure Dato Sri Najib will be out soon to defend Jamil Khir. Shahrizat has done so much damage to BN/UMNO and by defending Shahrizat Dato' Sri Najib has lost very significant UMNO/Malay support. More Malay support will move to opposition if Dato' Sri Najib were to defend Jamil Khir's foolish blunder!
It looks like we will have to wait longer for GE 13!
